Thus far in class you have been working in collaboration with other students to create performances and work on dramatic exercises. How has this experience been for you? Explain the advantages and the disadvantages. Elaborate on the process of “group dynamics” (please do not use other student names)
My experience has been both a good one and in some cases not bad but not so amusing or fun. When working in a group collaboration the advantages are all the good ideas that everyone has to bring to the table and make it perhaps more creative and if another person is acting like they enjoy and trying you also get the same vibe. The disadvantages however i feel when only one person is being ideas and other people are objecting but dont really seem to be thinking about what to do. Also if you are around others that dont care and you do the performance will not be a good one probably or will be stale. I dont know if we went over group dynamics today but I hope I explained it well.
ReplyDeleteThis has been a very wonderful experience for me! I have learned a lot from working in groups. I also get to experience other people's ideas and how different they interpret it even if its the same play. I also was very connected with other people in my group and got a chance to share my opinion as well. Some disadvantages can be the time when everyone puts in their ideas, then it would take more time to figure out what each person is doing and how it will work out to be an effective performance.
ReplyDeleteWorking in a group has been something great to experience. It helps us learn the names and personalities of others and has even help us establish relationships outside of class. Some advantages would be learning skills from others, feeding off of each others energy, and even getting used to performing in front of others. Disadvantages are few. They are: being the only one to put forth effort, getting stuck with someone who doesn't do as good as they could, or too many ideas wanting to be put to action.

ReplyDeleteworking with a dynamic group of young actors has made showed me the many different layers of my classmate's imaginations. i learn to further share ideas, its ok to be imaginative and lively. Also that there's a lot of wildly expressive people out there. Some disadvantages are the wide varieties of food ideas, too many leaders, also having too much fun and straying from the task becomes a big problem in groups. in the end still all fun.
ReplyDeleteWorking as a group have helped me to be open-minded toward others viewpoint and fit them into mines to creatively come up with 1 project. Another advantage is that it pressure me to challenge myself to come up with different ideas during that limited since I'm not condition for it. The disadvantage is the short period of time that we get.

I ENJOY THE WHOLE EXPERINECE WHEN IM WROKING WITH OTHER PEOPLE IN THE CLASS ROOM, ITS SHOWS ME HOW OPEN MINDED I AM AS AN INDIVIDUAL, ALSO ITS ALLOW ME TO BE A BETTER PERSON AS WELL. MY INNER SELF SHINE BECAUSE I GET TO SHOW EVERYONE WHAT KIND OF A PERSON I REALLY AM. IT ALSO BREAKS DOWN ALL THE ASSUMPTIONS THEY HAD ABOUT ME.WORKING WITH THE OTHER STUDENTS IN MY CLASS ME ALLOWS ME TO SEE HOW MUCH ALIKE WE ALL ARE AND ALSO SEE HOW THE DIFFERENCE AMONG US CAN BE GOOD.
ReplyDeleteI'M SO GLAD TO HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO BE PART OF THIS CLASS.IT'S HAVE BEEN A GREAT ADVENTITIOU TO ME ,IT HELP ME TO DEVELOP A PART OFF ME THAT I NEVER THOUGH OFF, IT'S HELP OPEN UP,AND BE MYSELF AROUND OTHERS.OVERALL THIS IS THE BEST CLASS EVER.
ReplyDeleteThe overall experience for me working in a group have been tremendous. Because even though I think I could play all the parts in Romeo and Juliet it wouldn't be as excited seeing me trying to kiss myself rather than having other characters. In short we need a group to have a successful performance in theater. But the problem with this is the obliviousness of diversity with an individual as well as not everyone is as loud, or bold or out going as myself so sometimes others expectations of individuals in the group is probably the flaw to group, with individual performance you know what you are capable of. But in close theater has made a great impact on my life, probably thinking about making it my minor. Tooooodddlesss

ReplyDeleteMy group experience for me has been the best wonderful. I never thought I could be actor, but come to find out I have the skills; however, working with my classmates is awesome everyone is open minded and willing to go beyond measure to have a great play
ReplyDeleteMy experience working in a group was awesome . I really enjoyed the laugh and fun time we had in the class. I never thought i would like theatre this much but you live and learn . I think you are a wonderful teacher . In the world we go through up and dowm but, in theatre it seem like happy lane without know worries.
ReplyDeletemy experience working in a group was great. i enjoyed fun and funny ties in class. i thought i was going to be a note taking class but i enjoy what ever we get to see it come to life. there was was not a disadvange for me.
ReplyDeleteWorking together to create a play is really cool. One of the best advangtages is the input from other members. Everyone has a different perpective on the topic, so everyone has an idea on how to make it even funnier and more creative. When it all comes together is really a magical thing. The disadvangtage might be that since everyone has input some ideas are dropped and some get picken up. It happens time to time but that's just the process.

Group assignments are quite interesting for me, it's a time to collaborate everyone else's ideas and concepts and putting them into high gear. Theatre has helped me to be a bit more vocal in sharing ideas.
